BOYS OF SUMMER PROGRESSIVE HITTING CAMP
The Strike Zone Baseball and Softball Academy is proud to present Boys of Summer 2008. The program
is headed by Academy Director and professional hitting instructor Phil Apostle. A veteran of two
Major-league camps, Coach Apostle currently has more than two dozen students participating at all levels
of collegiate as well as professional baseball.
This is an advance program designed for players who love to compete and to become the absolute best
hitter they can be. Each hitter will be given drill work specifically to their individual needs and style.
Video analysis of the Major league swing, variable speed training, curveballs, live left-handed pitching,
and expert identification/correction of swing faults spell trouble for are pitchers this summer! This
year we will utilize an offensive tools evaluation that includes speed, bunting, situational hitting, and
more! There will be our annual line-drive hitting tournament as well as team competitions complete with
awards for all who participate. The Boys of Summer program breeds the approach and confidence that
is essential to any hitter’s success! Each player will receive a Strike Zone t-shirt and two batting cage
coupons valid at our facility.
