“FIVE-TOOL” CLUBS:

Strike Zone Academy Director, Phil Apostle, and his staff of collegiate and professional coaches will offer the areas finest skill development and evaluation programs again in 2008. These are the programs that have been proven over the past decade to have a true positive impact on player performance. While serving as a Major League associate scout, Coach Apostle evaluates players at the games highest level in each of the five essential tools; foot speed, arm strength, contact hitting, power hitting and fielding. Now, he is available to do the same for your player. In addition, Phil and his staff will helpplayers identify their strengths and guide them toward positions and roles that they are best suited for in high school and beyond!

HITTER’S EDGE:

Veteran instructor, Joe Knudsen, and his All-star hitting staff will present a program guaranteed to help all hitters sharpen their swing during the winter season. Plenty of repetitions and quality drill work will sharpen swings, and the positive work environment will build confidence in these Saturday programs.

BASEBALL BUNCH:

The Baseball Bunch will be led by academy owner, John Fix, with his professional baseball staff. This program will cover all facets of the game, and is appropriate for all skill levels of 6 - 7 year olds. This Wednesday program is fun, productive, and a perfect way for young ball-players to practice this fall. A Strike Zone Academy t-shirt and 2 batting cage coupons are included.

PITCHER’S EDGE:

Director Paul Kosinski and Instructor Nathan Stillwell will lead a group of pitchers through the most productive workouts offered anywhere in this four-week seminar. Enrollment will be limited to ensure each student finds the mound time they need. Highly recommended for aspiring travel players looking to gain a fresh approach and edge for the spring.

HOLIDAY CAMP:

Led by academy favorite and veteran clinician, Joe Knudsen, this program will cover all facets of the game. The program is separated into appropriate sections for all skill levels of ages 8 & 9 and 10 - 12. This winter break program is fun, productive, and a perfect way for young ball-players to practice while the snow piles up.

FOR GIRLS ONLY PROGRAM:

The Strike Zone Director of Softball, Amanda Carlson, has teamed up this winter with Game On! Sports
Camps 4 Girls to create a new fastpitch softball player development program! Through the use of effective
drill work, fault identification and correction, positive feedback and the right amount of personalized
interaction and instruction, The For Girls Only Program will help any player excel to the next
level. Plus, with an emphasis on fun, skill building and age-appropriate expectations for performance
and safety, your daughter will have a great time at this programs!
