GIRLS OF SUMMER PROGRAM
The Girls of Summer returns for the 6th consecutive year led by Strike Zone Academy Softball Director, Amanda Porter, former varsity softball coach at ETHS. With five weeks filled with cutting edge drills, strategy, and skill evaluation, the Girls of Summer will challenge all who attend. A positive and pressure-free work environment coupled with the expertise of Coach AC's staff creates the winning combination your player deserves. The outdoor specialty program will cater to ALL skills levels and is run by high school coaches and current high school and collegiate players that are motivated to help your player become all that she can be! With the best instructor ration (6-1) in the Chicagoland area, students are provided the individual attention that real improvement requires. It will be held at the Skokie Playfields (in Winnetka) just north of Elm and Hibbard. Each player will receive a Strike Zone t-shirt and two free batting cage coupons good at The Strike Zone Academy.

AROUND THE HORNE SUMMER SKILLS PROGRAM - WINNETKA
This outdoor specialty program is a great way for players of all ages and skill levels to work on their game while enjoying the extra reps the camp provides. From fielding to baserunning and everything in between, this program offers the expertise and personality that gets actual results. Other FUN activities will include a home run derby, radar gun, 4-base pickle, the "All-star Challenge", pepper, daily trivia, and more! With the best instructor ratio (6-1) in the Chicagoland area, students are provided the individual attention that real improvement requires. The camp is directed by 7-year New Trier coach/teacher, Andy Horne, and is run by current and former high school and collegiate players and coaches that are motivated to help your player become all that he can be. SUMMER SLAM ADVANCED HITTING PROGRAM
Joe Knudsen, in his 10th season at The Strike Zone, veteran clinician and ETHS Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach, will lead a two-week program covering the art of hitting, including:
- Bunting
- - Hitting with 2 strikes
- - Hit and runs
- - Power to all fields
- - Hitting foul line to foul line
- - Strategic game approach
- Participants can expect to learn the major league swing, competition, understand productive outs and preparation for summer baseball tournaments. Additionally, The Strike Zone maintains a 6 to 1 student to instructor ratio for that individual attention that real improvement needs. Each participant will receive a Strike Zone t-shirt and two batting cage coupons for The Strike Zone.

Z-CLUB TRAINING PROGRAM
Veteran instructor and Strike Zone owner, John Fix, and a staff of current high school and college players present an exciting new summer program gauranteed to help all current and future travel players. Plenty of repetitions and quality drill work will sharpen skills and attitude. Players will be divided into appropriate age groups and work on the following skills:
OFFENSE: Bunting, hitting to all fields, productive outs, hitting with 2 strikes, baserunning, leadoffs/steals
DEFENSE: Rundowns, double plays, 1st & 3rd coverage, pitcher's covering 1st base, bunt coverage, slow rollers
PITCHING: Proper grips, pitch location, off-speed pitches, stretch, holding runners on, pick-offs
There is a student to instructor ratio of 6 to 1, and there will be no rainouts. The program is located at Northfield Field #2 and #3 at the corner of Willow and Wagner in Northfield, but if it rains, the program will be moved indoors to The Strike Zone in Northfield at 287 Northfield Rd.
